Position Overview

Our mission within IT at Raymour & Flanigan is to "Propel business success by delivering powerful, innovative, and intelligent technology solutions to enhance our associates' and customers' experience". As a project manager within IT, you will play an integral part of this mission by providing project leadership on complex projects that cross multiple departments within IT in support of business initiatives. You will be responsible for driving projects forward to ensure on-time completion that contribute to the overall success of the Raymour & Flanigan.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Work with a project team to create and ratify project timelines and plans
  • Manage projects using Microsoft Project and Atlassian's JIRA application
  • Organize and manage all phases of a project to ensure on-time completion
  • Verify appropriate project artifacts and system documentation are completed within project timeline
  • Generate project status reports, including dependencies, milestones, resources and other key project properties
  • Lead process of issue identification and resolution
  • Manage risk tracking process
  • Responsible for managing multiple IT projects simultaneously
  • Foster partnership with customers/stakeholders/sponsors
  • Ability to adjust to changing business needs and priorities
  • Focus on project management and overall IT process improvement

Required Skills and Experience

  • BS degree or higher
  • 3+ years of project management experience in IT
  • Detailed knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Excellent communications and creative problem solving skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
