Job Description


Summary:
Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the General Ledger for multiple real estate entities.

Essential Responsibilities:
1. Maintain all fixed assets and depreciation records. Enter all fixed assets in BNA Fixed Asset System. Properly assign book and tax depreciation lifes and determine asset disposals. Reconcile fixed asset general ledger activity to BNA.
2. Prepare and post monthly journal entries needed to close books.
3. Close GL and prepare all financial reporting monthly.
4. Enter AP invoices, code to proper GL, and cut checks weekly.
5. Post cash receipts daily or as needed.
6. Prepare annual budgets based on prior year activity and other known data.
7. Reconcile general ledger accounts to subsidiary ledger.
8. Prepare bank reporting quarterly or as required by lender.
9. Prepare special projects and analysis as required.
10. Adhere to privacy and confidential and proprietary company policies and procedures.
11. As required by changing business needs, complete additional responsibilities as assigned.

Education:
Associates Degree in Accounting or related field or the equivalent combination of education and training.

Experience & Background:
Minimum of 2 years previous accounting experience required.
