Raymour & Flanigan, a billion dollar furniture retailer based in Liverpool, NY, is searching for an experienced Director of Benefits to join our Human Resource Team. The right person for this position will have not only an expert understanding of benefits, but will also have a passion for educating people on how to maximize their benefits while controlling costs for the individual and the company. This position effectively collaborates with high level company leaders and reports directly to the VP of Human Resources. The Benefits Director has overall responsibility of administration of all Health & Welfare, Wellness and 401K plans. The position is also responsible for all benefits communications.   • Looking for a proven leader of people with great communication skills to lead a team of five
  • Serve as subject matter expert in Health & Welfare benefits, 401K, and leave administration
  • Demonstrate knowledge of, and carefully follow all applicable federal, state and local compliance requirements and regulations
  • Foster continuous improvement in terms of efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction
  • Excellent follow-up skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Sound judgment dealing with confidential information
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities
  • Excellent verbal, written, and professional communication skills
  • Experience with Human Resources Information Systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • Strong negotiation skills

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of management experience
  • Bachelor's degree
