Director, User Experience | Raymour & Flanigan

We are hyper-focused on taking this involved process and making it magically simple and wonderful for our customers The Director of User Experience will manage and grow a team of UX/UI designers and front-end developers while executing our shared vision and strategy. As Director, you would work to continually improve our website experience and develop new ways to improve our business. At the intersection of art and analytics, you'll find success in this role.

Responsibilities:
Drive the execution of ecommerce UX flows for all customer types and scenarios with the goal of streamlining and simplifying the shopping and checkout experience, driving increases in basket size and conversion rates in as few steps for our users as possible.

Lead, motivate, build and support the User Experience team consisting of project managers, front-end developers, web designers, UX designers

Develop omni-channel UX framework guidelines to create synergistic and consistent user experiences that mirror or enhance the in-store experience.

Ensuring web information architecture, navigation, customer journey is clear, compelling and consistent for desktop and mobile.

Understand the website's internal and external stakeholders and help make their vision a reality and their experiences exceptional.

Work closely with cross-functional teams and collaborate with marketers, product buyers, developers, designers, and sales teams and implement a robust User Testing strategy and calendar.

Advocate for the customer, follow user-focused design principles and clearly communicate designs through prototypes, documentation and presentations.

Lead user experience design projects from concept to launch.

Conduct audience research, market analysis, customer feedback surveys and effectively utilize site metrics (customer behavior, conversion, etc.) to develop data-driven UX requirements and improvements.

Apply targeting tactics based on analytics, creating unique and rich experiences based on user preferences.

Foster a culture of innovation.

Stay current with trends in UX, design and ecommerce.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in HCI, design, or related field.

5+ years of Interface Design and/or Information Architecture work experience for ecommerce/retail/Mobile web/App and web-based applications and experiences.

Adobe Experience Manager experience a plus.

Knowledge and Skills:
Effective leadership presence; you build relationships to become a cross-functional driver.

The ability to work cooperatively and constructively with many stakeholders, both inside and outside of the organization to foster long-term partnerships and respect among management and peers.
Strong comprehensive online or digital portfolio of work demonstrating past experience related to ecommerce and online content publishing.

Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.

Passion and interest for keeping up with IA, UX and design trends and best practices in the industry.
Ability to see a challenge within a growing and evolving organization and take it on as a self-starter to drive to a resolution.

Experience building a team and managing UX/UI designers, front-end developers and project managers.

Experience with design of responsive site.
