Job Description

Marketing Strategist, Marketing Department, is responsible supporting our acquisition and retention efforts, public relations efforts and community outreach programs. The candidate should have 2 to 3 years with marketing, direct mail and/or communications. This position primarily supports the efforts of Raymour & Flanigan's retention and acquisition strategy with direct mail, public relations and other processes for marketing/advertising department.
Major Responsibilities:
* Create marketing strategies that build customer loyalty, brand recognition and customer engagement.
* Develop communications strategies for internal and external programs with our associates and customers
* Develop and produce high-quality, informative, and interesting press releases, press kits, and related materials
* Assist with Community Outreach initiatives with our store teams with coordination of events and manage requests
* Assist with internal communications program with company newsletters and gathering information from across the company.
* Execution of direct mail acquisition and retention strategy with vendors
* Coordinate execution of acquisition direct mail and maintaining reporting and budgets
* Write content for public relations and community outreach initiatives and internal communications
* Support and help maintain key communication channels including media outlets, internal communications and social media platforms with current and new initiatives
* Responsible for compiling information, reporting and analysis for marketing promotions.
* Manage relationships daily with vendors with direct mail and marketing initiatives
* Handle multiple responsibilities and balance priorities with internal and external partners
* Process invoices and orders supplies for marketing initiatives and follow up with any discrepancies
* Produce, update, and track orders and verify charges on invoices
* Maintain reporting and tracking reports; data entry as needed, update vendor lists
* Cross departmental and inter-department communications
* Able to develop and maintain a variety of reports on a weekly/monthly/annual basis
* Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills in person and on the phone
* Demonstrate excellent listening skills and the ability to work independently and with a team
* Perform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of management
Competencies and Specific Skills Required:
* 2-3 yrs. experience within marketing and communications.
* Must be quality-oriented with strong attention to detail
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis in Excel and affinity to working with numbers
* Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Must be able to successfully manage multiple projects efficiently and simultaneously
* Working with cross-functional teams efficiently
* Able to work in an open office environment while still maintaining focus
* Must be able to plan and deliver on daily/weekly/monthly tasks assigned to the core responsibilities.
