Job Description

Raymour & Flanigan Furniture, the largest furniture and mattress retailer in the Northeast, is seeking a knowledgeable, customer focused, MHE mechanic/maintenance technician to join our Suffern, NY team.

Schedule needed: Monday- Friday 7am start time. Full time needed.

Expectations

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on lift equipment, jacks, chargers and batteries.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair all makes of lift trucks, emphasis on Crown equipment.
  • Perform all battery handling; to include equalization and watering.
  • Perform minor maintenance in facility, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
  • Order parts and maintain required documents.
  • Performs other work related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years working experience on Material Handling Equipment and Battery Repairs.
  • Experience working on Crown and Raymond lift trucks preferred.
  • Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Working experience in facility maintenance a plus
  • Basic understanding of plumbing and carpentry is a plus.
  • Welding/fabricating experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be customer service oriented.
  • Ability to evaluate objectively, fairly, and consistently.
  • Dependable, self-motivated professional able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to safely operate lift trucks.
