Property Management Accounts Payable Assistant

The Field Support Center at Raymour & Flanigan delivers real challenge and career growth opportunities. We are currently looking for a full time Accounts Payable Assistant in our Property Management department. This is a great opportunity for a team player with progressive and stable experience in accounts payable or finance. This individual must function well in a fast-paced environment and demands strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Role Summary / Purpose

The Accounts Payable Assistant is responsible for providing financial and administrative support in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations.

The Accounts Payable Assistant reports to the Property Management/Finance Manager and is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services. This includes processing and monitoring payments and expenditures. Providing these services in an effective and efficient manner will ensure that finances are accurate and up to date, that vendors and suppliers are paid within established time limits.

Essential Function/Tasks

* Receive and process bills for payment according to established procedures, including coding of invoices, check requests and submit for approval, as appropriate.
* Resolve invoicing discrepancies directly with Vendors.
* Qualify and prepare purchase orders for contractor work.
* Perform general administrative duties such as filing, typing, and file management.
* Perform additional functions or other special projects and duties as required by supervisor.

Basic Qualifications

* At least 3 years administrative work experience required, preferably in Accounting or Finance
* PC literacy -- MS Word, Excel and Outlook; Speed and quality of work imperative
* Monday thru Friday, Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm [Hourly Position]
* Salary: DOE
