Safety Intern

The Safety Internship Program is designed to last eight to ten (8-10) weeks depending upon the participant's availability. All college internships are paid at an hourly wage with direct deposit.

The program cultivates knowledge, skills and abilities through on-the-job experience, as well as mentoring by our business leaders.

This position reports to the Director of Safety.

Internship Overview

Comprehensive Onboarding: Orientation, site tours and team building activities

Skill Development: Enhance and learn skills such as communication, problem solving, teamwork, project management and time management

Business Case Scenario/Project: Opportunity to develop OSHA and DOT safety programs, research applicable EPA and NFPA regulations, assist with safety training and safety snapshots, analyze initiatives, formulate ideas, propose recommendations and deliver a final presentation to Raymour & Flanigan leaders

Personal Growth: Work with Director of Safety, develop confidence, skills assessment, understand strengths, and receive regular feedback and a personalized development plan


  • Pursuing a BA/BS in Occupational Safety
