Position Overview
Raymour & Flanigan's web application development department is looking for someone who can provide team leadership and a technical expertise that will help drive the team to new peaks. The person will play the primary role in upgrading current technologies according to our application life cycle plan as well as manage the replacement of legacy technologies. The selected leader will share the director of application development's vision and help create and execute a strategy that will allow for continued department growth and ability to meet the company's demands. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
* Lead and grow a team of software developers in the design and construction of web-based solutions using C#.NET and other web technologies
* Responsible for technical architecture and technology choices
* Primary on upgrading current applications and strategically removing legacy applications
* Ensure that development and design standards stay current with modern technology and that standards are being followed
* Responsible for the employment, promotion, performance evaluation, training, motivation, and discipline of assigned associates
* Create a team environment that enables team members to excel
* Work with employees to establish career goals and provide opportunities for those employees to surpass their targets
* Act as liaison between business units to gather business requirements and assets.
* Review and analyze current system applications and develop recommendations for improvement.

Required Skills and Experience
* BA or BS degree or higher
* Minimum three (3) years leading a technical team
* Technical skills in Microsoft-centric web development (ASP.Net, C#, .NET MVC, Web API, JavaScript, SQL Server)
* Excellent understanding of Object Oriented Programming
* Ability to collaborate and work with other members of the development team
* Knowledge and understanding of project life cycle methodologies
* Strong time management, organizational, follow-up and communication skills (oral and written)
* Ability to complete multiple tasks and manage a high volume of competing priorities in a fast paced environment
* Collaborate effectively with all structural levels of an organization to meet company goals and objectives
* Provide thought leadership on evolving and improving technical design, development practices and team evolution and improvement
* Work closely with the Director of Business Development
